Episode 4

Hi, I'm back

I want to introduce you to a friend of mine.
His Name is Dec, short for Decay.
He has not been very well looked after as you can see.

He has been given nasty sugary sticky foods and drinks.
He now has a disease called Caries.
Do You know there are 9 teaspoonfuls of sugar in a can of cola.
If You do eat sugary snacks between meals You are neglecting Your teeth.
We call this Tooth Abuse.
Don't let this happen to Your teeth.
It is best to avoid sugary food and drinks at all times.
However if You are having anything with sugar in it limit it to meal times only.
It is best to drink water or milk as they are kinder to Your teeth.

Today at the gym we are going to be doing Push Ups
Here we can see Mandi doing a Push Up

Push Ups help to make your arms stronger and your inside (core) much stronger.
When You start to do these You need to do them on your knees and as You get better
You can do them on your toes.

As You can see Max is showing off,
because he is learning to use the rings and do Ring Push Ups.

See You next time. Keep looking after Your teeth so you don't get Caries like Dec
You are progressing on Your journey to Super Wellness.

Episode 3
Hi there.

How are you this morning?
I am going to the gym today. Do you like going to the gym?
I get to meet friends and have fun when I go to the gym. It is important that I warm up when I arrive to get ready to exercise.
Today
I am going to do that with the jump rope.

It takes practice to get good, but with time you will get faster and learn to do double unders, which will help make you fitter and quicker at everything you do.
My friend Sammy is a boxer and he has to be very quick on his feet. He likes using his jump rope.
Sammy knows it is very important to look after his teeth and he wears a mouthguard to protect them when he is boxing.
It is important when you take part in some sports like rugby, hockey, boxing, karate, mma and football to wear a mouthguard to protect your teeth.
If a tooth is knocked out due to an accident or blow then it does not automatically mean the permanent loss of that tooth. If you still have the tooth then place it in a glass of milk, or you can keep it in the cheek of your mouth, the tooth may then be able to be put back in (reimplanted).
You have a better chance of a successful reimplantation if you can get to the dentist within 30 minutes.
However, if more time has elapsed a reimplantation may still be successful. Teeth that are reimplanted with an hour have a good chance of surviving and reattaching to the socket.
The quicker you can get to your dentist with the tooth the better.
Get exercising and get fit and you will be on your way to Super Wellness

See you soon…..
